This showreel features a number of visual effects shots and sequences, including compositing live action with CG sets, as well as 2D and 3D animations.

In 1966 the movie version of the Thunderbirds TV show hit the big screen. It opened with a lengthy launch sequence for one of the greatest guest vehicles in the Thunderbirds universe - the Zero X Martian Space Vehicle. I decided to do my own version of the launch, using CG modelling and production. I decided not to update the ship itself much, but everything else gets a thorough make-over.
This started out as a fun project where I could sharpen my CG skills - but then I decided I wanted to see the whole launch, just for the hell of it.
I hope you enjoy this short film - there is no story - its just machinery. But for those who love such things, this is for you.
This is a brief introduction to the techniques I used to make the Zero X Assembly Procedure Reimagined film. Zero X being the star guest vehicle from the Thunderbirds Are Go movie from 1966. This isn't a CG tutorial, just a glimpse behind the scenes. I had a lot of interest in how I made the film, so I thought I'd create this mini doc to explain.
'Alchemy' is a steampunk musical written by prolific composer and rock musician Clive Nolan. I am now in the process of adapting it into a full-length feature film. This requires creating a vast world of Steampunk grandeur.
This scene is a work in progress and demonstrates how Unreal Engine can be used to create huge immersive sets and locations.
